What is LatinxFest?
The mission of LatinxFest is to bear witness to the cultural contribution of the migrant community and to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

Through the diverse artistic expressions of our community, we aim to change the negative narrative about our community and showcase the greatest and most important aspects of our culture – a culture reflected in the food, music, poetry, and dance of our people, a gathering full of flavors and joy, honoring the diversity and spirit of the community in Athens and its surrounding areas.

This becomes an opportunity to learn about the cultures of other peoples because, although we are Hispanic, we are also from different countries. Thus, Peruvians learn from Mexicans and Brazilians, a cultural diversity as diverse as the participants of our festival. This is a space dedicated to artistic expression, living traditions, and the convergence of identities.
